Mwanza Children Action Network (MCAN), is non governmental organization (NGO) based in Mwanza Tanzania . MCAN began in 2017 as coalition of churches working with children in Mwanza under the union of christian churches, Currently Mwanza Children Action Network is registered under NGO Act with registration number 00NGO/R/3097 to support and enhance organization’s effort to ensure that every children lives in a safe and secure environment, free from all forms of abuses, violence and exploitation and is capable of enjoying all the rights.

The desire of forming Networks of Organizations working with children to make the biggest impact across the nation through engaging, learning, praying planning and working together for children.

To promote organization’s efforts that involve in preventing and respond to violence against children.

To empower families so as to become safe, stable and nurturing as well as to impact them specialized treatment and support families at risk of violence

To advocate for the introduction and enforcement of legislation prohibiting the use of violence against children by parents, teachers and other caregivers.

To promote social standards that support children’s development in terms of health, education and social welfare.
